Shelly Stillman is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She received her Bachelor’s in Social Work (BSW) in 2006 and a Masters in Professional counseling in 2016. Shelly has 14 years of experience working with children who have been a victim of child abuse and neglect.

 

Shelly has been a licensed counselor for 5 years. She primarily works with children, adolescents, and young adults who have been through a traumatic event, victims of child abuse and neglect, and/or are in foster care.

 

Shelly has specialized in working with teenage girls who have been victims of sexual abuse. Shelly works also with children, adolescents, and young adults who have been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or have symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other related behavioral issues or symptoms.

 

Shelly uses a trauma-informed approach using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Parent Management Training (PMT), and Solution-focused therapy. Shelly is working towards becoming certified in the state of Missouri using Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

 

Shelly is a co-owner of Parenting and Child Conduct Counseling.
